Leap Year - Movie

Leap Year
A nice predictable romantic comedy.
Worth a watch if you like romantic comedies.

I loved how she tromped all over the place in those shoes, yikes.

Castle Info:

Castle Scenes
To create the scene, Cinesite went on location to the west coast of Ireland to shoot the ruins of an old castle and various panoramas to create a matte painting. The castle ruins were enhanced by adding a CGI tower and the sky was animated to create atmospherics. The animated panoramic landscape was then composited onto footage of the actors standing in front of a green screen. Further detail was added to the sky as well as rain as the scene turns from sunshine into heavy rain.

imdb discussion mentioned:

Here's the wedding toast:
May you never steal, lie, or cheat,
but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows,
and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life,
and if you must cheat, then please cheat death
because I couldn't live a day without you.

This is one movie I can watch over and over again!! Loved the wedding speech and the song while they waited for the bus to Dublin.

I love this movie too and have watched it so many times this winter I can’t count. Too much snow. Last night watched with my brother and sister-in-law. They loved it. Is it the Neil Young’ song "Only Love Can Break Your Heart," song?
Love the locals, the scenery, the chemistry… It’s a heartfelt wedding speech. Love Amy Adams’ expressions as well as Matthew Goode’s. Both marvelous... It’s a very sweet, funny, tender story. Well done.

Found this movie quite by accident while browsing through Netflix. Watched at least 5 times a day these past two weeks. Loved it so much that I paid for the soundtracks of all the background music (great for my long commute) and purchased "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" sung by Gwyneth Herbert.

Love this movie- critics were far too harsh, and I consider myself a pretty good judge of movies considering my guesses pre award handouts. Agree the script and editing needed improvements, and sharper directing in places, but Amy Adams and Matthew Goode absolutely did their characters justice. Really great chemistry between them- they should do something else together, with strong intense characters...something where they could really get their acting skills a major workout.(example: Amy and Bradley Cooper in American Hustle). I liked the refreshing use of romance trumping casual/explicit sex. We pretty much knows what happens and don't always need a play-by-play.
