Walk In The Field Part 26 - Gray Catbird

cornell
(Has the cat sound. enature does not.)
"If you’re convinced you’ll never be able to learn bird calls, start with the Gray Catbird. Once you’ve heard its catty mew you won’t forget it."

That's certainly true. I would describe the call as a baby crying rather than a cat sound, though. Very plain looking bird.

enature
"It often announces its presence by a harsh, cat-like whine issuing from a dense tangle of vegetation; the bird responds to an imitation of this call, popping suddenly into view for a better look."

Really. I'll have to try that.
